Il-vapur il-ġdid ta’ Norwegian Cruise Lines, Norwegian Prima, wasal f’Port Canaveral biex jibda staġun inawgurali ta’ vjaġġi sa Marzu 2023

Il-vapur ġdid fjamant ta’ Norwegian Cruise Lines, Norwegian Prima, wasal f’Port Canaveral biex jibda staġun inawgurali ta’ vjaġġi sa Marzu 2023 mill-homeport il-ġdid tagħha f’Port Canaveral.

Norwegian Prima hija l-ewwel waħda minn sitt bastimenti ġodda tal-“Prima Class” għan-Norveġja Cruise Line, l-ewwel klassi ġdida ta’ bastimenti tal-marka fi kważi għaxar snin.

"Aħna ferħana li nilqgħu d-dar Norwegian Prima f'Port Canaveral, l-ewwel vapur fi klassi ġdida kollha għal Norwegian Cruise Line," iddikjara l-Kap Eżekuttiv tal-Port, il-Kaptan John Murray.

“We have a great partnership with NCLH and this important decision to homeport their newest, most innovative ship at our port underscores our commitment to support the expectations of our valued cruise partners.”

“We are thrilled to bring our newest ship, Norwegian Prima, to Port Canaveral with the opportunity to introduce her to the tens of millions of travelers that visit the Orlando area every year,” said Harry Sommer, President and Chief Executive Officer of Norwegian Cruise Line. “The city offers the ultimate family vacation destination, given its accessibility to attractions, the cruise port and easy airlift from almost anywhere in the world. There is fun for everyone, making it one of the best pre-and-post cruise cities.”

In keeping with tradition, Canaveral Port Authority Chairman Kevin Markey joined with Port Canaveral CEO Capt. John Murray to present Norwegian Prima Capt. Kevin Bellido a plaque commemorating the cruise ship’s first visit to Port Canaveral.

The highly anticipated Norwegian Prima features elevated offerings of the Prima Class that prioritize the guest experience and aim to raise the bar on cruising through world class cuisine, most spacious design yet, and onboard activities including the Prima Speedway—the world’s first and only racetrack to span three levels. Boasting nine new dining and beverage options, guests can sample cuisines from around the world by visiting Indulge Food Hall, the upscale food market exhibiting 11 unique eateries; or enjoy the elevated menus at Hudson’s, the complimentary restaurant overlooking 270 degrees of ocean views. Norwegian Prima also features a three-story transformational theater-nightclub, the Prima Theater & Club, the fastest slides at sea, The Drop and Rush, and the cruise industry’s first sustainable cocktail bar with Metropolitan Bar.

Itineraries include calls to the tropical ports of Mexico, Jamaica, Honduras, and including visits to NCL’s exclusive resort-style destinations – Harvest Caye in Belize and Great Stirrup Cay, the Company’s 270-acre private island in the Bahamas.

Norwegian Prima is 965 feet long (294 meters long), 143,535 gross tons and able to accommodate 3,100 guests at double occupancy. The vessel has 20 decks, featuring nearly 1,600 staterooms, 18 dining venues and 17 bars and lounges. The ship features multiple first-at-sea innovations including a three-story transformational theater-nightclub, the Prima Theater & Club; its three-level racetrack with the Prima Speedway; the fastest slides at sea, The Drop and Rush; and the cruise industry’s first sustainable cocktail bar with The Metropolitan Bar.
